A verbal warning is the first step in the disciplinary process. Further disregard of policies and/or procedures may lead to a written warning and/or dismissal.
Reasons for dismissal include, but are not limited to:
Consistently poor job performance
Inadequate job skills
Habitual absences
Habitual tardiness
Altering or manipulating patron records/information
Unauthorized or inappropriate use of patron information
Unauthorized or inappropriate use of library materials, supplies, and/or facilities
Unauthorized loading/downloading of software onto library computers
Displays of racial, ethnic, cultural, or religious intolerance
Use of abusive/offensive language
Grounds for immediate dismissal include, but are not limited to:
Falsifying time records
Theft of library materials, supplies, or equipment
Destruction of College property
Direct disregard or intentional violation of library or College policies.
Insubordination, which includes, but is not limited to, unwillingness to perform assigned duties.
