Sources for Peer-Reviewed Journals

When searching for articles, it's important to know what type of source, or periodical in which the articles are published. This is because each type has its own purpose, intent, audience, etc.

Types:

  • Popular magazines
  • Trade magazines and newspapers - focused on a particularly industry
  • Newspapers
  • Research/Scholarly/Academic Journals, or peer-reviewed journals

Start you search in MACKsearch, which covers many of McQuade databases with a wide range of scholarly journals, magazines and newspapers. 

  • View results and then limit to peer-reviewed.
  • You may also want to limit by date.
