Information Literacy at Merrimack College

Instructional Facilities

The George I. Alden Information Literacy Classroom, located on the third floor of McQuade Library, is a "smart" classroom offering space for library instruction workshops.   A "Lab in a Box" --15 laptops on a cart -- is available for Alden Lab users and there is one printer.   Classroom technology includes an Eno board, document camera, DVD player, and speakers.

Librarians also teach workshops in smart classrooms and various labs throughout the campus.  Librarians have access to laptops and ipads for workshops.

Librarians conduct individual or small group research consultations in the Research Center.  In addition to librarians' office space, this inviting, open, collaborative space offers a roundtable and whiteboard that accommodates active learning and faculty and student collaboration.
