Options for creating websites and hosting content online:

Google Sites
Create a free website from scratch or using a template.
WordPress
Create a blog for free with WordPress. Instructors may choose to create one blog for an entire class or section.
Substack
Create a Substack email newsletter for free.
Weebly
A free website creation and hosting software.
Edublogs
A free blogging site geared toward educators and classes.

Unique interface and design software:

Knightlab Timeline JS
Timeline JS is an open source, free-to-use software that allows users to create digital timelines using information and media imported from spreadsheets.
Tik-Toki
It's not TikTok - it's Tiki-Toki, an interactive timeline builder.

Students and instructors may also choose to use social media such as YouTube, Tik Tok, and Twitter/X to create and share DH projects.

Adobe Premier Pro
Merrimack College community members can use the Apporto app to run Adobe Premier Pro.
Adobe Premier Rush
The free version of Adobe Premier Rush offers simplified video editing.
