What are the digital humanities?

Broadly speaking, digital humanities is an interdisciplinary field of study that uses digital tools in arts and humanities scholarship and applies humanistic criticism to the use of technology. The field shares core values of knowledge sharing, accessibility, and collaboration. DH projects often make use of coding and markup languages, software development, digital archives, and various types of online applications.
