McQuade Library Liaisons

Scholarly Communication

What is scholarly communication?

"The system through which research and other scholarly writings are created, evaluated for quality, disseminated to the scholarly community, and preserved for future use." (ACRL 2003)

Our role as liaisons is to:

  • Help faculty submit their publications to Merrimack's ScholarWorks, our institutional repository
  • Advise scholars on how they may manage articles, preprints, etc. that they gather
  • Provide information and resources on retaining author rights
  • Help locate information about journal impact factors and publication rates
  • Help support high-level sponsored research and data management needs.
