This video was developed for graduate students, however, understanding what a literature review is and how to write one is important for undergraduates as well. Keep in mind that the breadth and depth of your literature review will depend on the requirements of your assignment. You will NOT be required to perform a complete and expansive literature review for all courses.
This handout explains the process of how information is generated, distributed, and accessed from the occurrence of an event, era, social movement, discovery, to the documentation of the event, era, etc., to how the evidence is disseminated, and how researchers (and term paper writers) can find this documentation.
