Use APA Style for Business & Social Sciences

The Girard School and most social science courses use the APA style for citing sources, from the American Psychology Association. Choose the most recent 6th edition when given a choice using library databases or citation tools.

If consulting the first printing of the 6th edition, click HERE to download a .pdf with corrections to the guide.

Below are sources with tips for citing sources in APA style.  See McQuade's "How to Cite Sources" for more citation tools.

Citation Builders

Use an online Citation Builder to create reference lists, works cited, bibliographies, etc.

ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK CITATIONS USING THESE SOURCES AS THE FORMATTING IS NOT ALWAYS CORRECT.  ALSO, THESE SOURCES ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE INFORMATION TYPED INTO THEM.
