Checkpoint Edge Overview

What is Checkpoint Edge?

  • Checkpoint Edge (formerly RIA Checkpoint) is a full-text database that provides US IRS Regulations and rulings, tax treaties and analysis and annotations from the Federal Tax Coordinator and the US Tax Reporter. 
  • For educational use only and up to 35 concurrent users.

How do I get a Checkpoint Edge Account?

Merrimack Students must register for a Checkpoint Edge account every semester they are enrolled in a course that uses the site for educational purposes only. 

 

From On Campus, go to this website https://cpreg.thomsonreuters.com/ and register for an account:
  • Enter your Merrimack College email address. You must have a Merrimack College email address to register.
  • Enter your first and last name and the semester you are registering
  • Accept the License Agreement
  • Check your Merrimack College email for your Checkpoint ID, temporary password, instructions for changing the password, and login instructions.
From Off Campus, go to this website: https://cpreg.thomsonreuters.com/#/walkin/account/58063 to register

  • Enter your Merrimack College email address. You must have a Merrimack College email address to register.

  • Check your email for an Access Point link. The email subject line will be "Thomson Reuters Checkpoint - Walk-in Access Request"

  • This Access Point link will only be active for 15 minutes from when the message was sent. If the link expires, you will need to submit the request again to have a new link sent.
