Community Garden

Where is the Community Garden located?

The Merrimack Garden is located behind 27 Rock Ridge Road which is a blue house. Rock Ridge Road is behind Crowe hall and the Nursing building. 


Does the Community Garden provide gardening tools?

Merrimack College community members are able to check out the Gardening Mindfulness Kit from the McQuade Library. The kit includes a gardening book along with gardening tools such as a trowel, transplanter, cultivator, pruners, and gloves. To check out the Gardening Mindfulness Kit, visit the Access Services desk on the first floor of the McQuade Library.


Can I pick vegetables and flowers at the Community Garden? 

Yes! Community members are encouraged to visit the Community Garden and pick vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

Seed Library

What kinds of seeds are in the Seed Library? 

You can find seeds for vegetables, herbs, and flowers that are currently in season. Variations of certain vegetables and herbs can also be found in the Seed Library. 


Will new seeds be added to the Seed Library? 
New seeds are added for the reopening of the Seed Library in the spring. 

Is the Seed Library open all year?

You will be able to access seeds in the Seed Library throughout the year, however, they are replenished in March during the reopening and throughout the spring.
