Fulltext Library Links and Advanced Search

Fulltext @ McQuade links are in Google Scholar 

Perform a search in Google Scholar and Fulltext @ McQuade links will show up in your search results. Click on one of these links and you will see options for accessing the item you are looking for.

If you are coming to Google Scholar from within the Merrimack College network (anywhere on campus, or if you have already signed in through McQuade's proxy server), these links will automatically show up next to Google Scholar search results.

If you are not coming from within Merrimack's network, configure your Google Scholar Preferences to display Fulltext @ McQuade links:


1) Go to Google Scholar

2) Click on Settings, then Library Links

3) In the search box, search for "Merrimack College."
Choose "Fulltext @ McQuade" and deselect Find It @ McQuade if already selected.
Select "Save Preferences."

Advanced Search Features in Google Scholar

Use the "Advanced Scholar Search" option by clicking 3-line 'hamburger' in the upper left, and select Advanced Search.  A pop-up will appear to  take advantage of advanced searching features as well as custom date ranges.

Order Articles for FREE!

If you search the databases (or any other resource) and find articles that you want that the library does not have access to, you can request them using interlibrary loan. It may take from several days to several weeks for your articles to arrive.

Use this form to request articles.  Library staff will contact you when the article arrives and you can pick it up at the 1st floor Help Desk.

Find a Journal

DO WE HAVE YOUR JOURNAL?
Use this form to determine if McQuade Library has access to a particular journal, newspaper or magazine in electronic full-text format or print:

Search for a Journal by Title/ISSN:

 

Title begins with
Use to search for a word or words that are at the beginning of the title. For example, philosophical.

Title equals
Use Title Equals if you know the entire title of the journal. For example, Journal of the American Chemical Society.

Title contains all words
Use to search for a word or words anywhere in the title. For example, a search for international business will find the word international and the word business anywhere in the title.

ISSN equals
ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) is the internationally accepted code for identifying serial publications. It consists of two groups of four digits. For example, 0028-9604.
