Follow these steps to find good company intelligence:

1. Check out the company's web site for key information

2. Locate key company reports for public, private and nonprofits

3. Find current articles and news about the company & issues - dig deeper!

4. Evaluate your sources

5. Cite Sources in reports & presentations

When researching a publicly-traded company look for these key documents (click to see examples): 

• Letter to Stockholders from the annual report
• Form 10-K SEC filing  (international and newly-traded companies may have a different one)
• Latest 10-Q SEC filing
• Press Releases
