Using MACKSearch

MACKsearch is a great place to start.  In this search we have used the filters in the left column to limit to items 2010 - 2022 and Available in the Library collection, which includes books at NOBLE libraries.  We can also limit further to Full Text Online for materials available online (e-books, streaming videos and e-journals) and/or to Peer Reviewed Articles. Further down on the left off this screen, are more options, such as Document Types (Academic Journals, Books, etc.), Geography, and more.

Recommended Databases to Find Articles for INT1000

For the complete list of databases, check out the A - Z List.

The following databases are included in MACKsearch but provide additional ways to filter.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If you search the databases and find books or articles that you want that the library does not have access to, you can request them using interlibrary loan (ILL). It may take a day or several days for the materials to arrive, so please plan accordingly.

Use this ILL FORM to request books and articles. Library staff will contact you when the materials arrive and you can pick them up at the Circulation Help Desk (1st floor of McQuade) free of charge. If you  requested an article, library staff will send it to you via e-mail.

Books listed in the NOBLE catalog can also be requested through the catalog by Placing a Hold.  More information on setting a password and using the catalog is found on the NOBLE's Evergreen Catalog.

This is a FREE service, so please take advantage of it while you're here at Merrimack!
