There are two PCs configured for use by persons not affiliated with the College located on the first floor near the front entrance.

Most, but not all, of our McQuade Library web-based resources are available for use there by walk-in patrons, but printing is not available.

All other computers in the library require authentication credentials for the Merrimack College network.

Limited wireless access is available on the "MCGuest" network.

Photo-copying is available with the purchase of a resuable guest access card at $.10/page, minimum purchase $1.00.

Operating Hours:

The operating hours of the building follow the college calendar.  The goal is to be open at times that accommodate the majority of students.

During the Academic semester, the operating hours for all are:

Monday-Thursday    7:30 A.M. – midnight
Friday                          7:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Saturday                   10:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Sunday                     10:00 A.M. – midnight

Extended Evening Hours for MackCard holders only are:

Sunday-Thursday    12midnight — 7:30AM
Friday                        5PM — 12midnight
Saturday                   5PM — 12midnight

During Summer Session, the library summer operating hours are:

Monday-Thursday    8:30 A.M. – 8:00 P.M.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday CLOSED

Holiday hours: During the academic year, the library will be open for Monday holidays. However, the hours may be changed from regularly scheduled hours. Consult the Hours page on the library website for the most current information.

In case of inclement weather:

Call the Campus Weather Emergency number 978-837-5700 in the event of extreme winter weather.

If the recording states "Merrimack College is closed" all classes are cancelled, and offices throughout the campus are closed, including the library.

The McQuade Library is the academic center of Merrimack College.  For most of the day the facility is open to the public. All are welcome to enter the building and use the facilities; however, priority for services will be given to Merrimack community members.  During evening and overnight hours access is limited to Merrimack community members:  which includes Merrimack students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Guests may be admitted if accompanied by a MackCard holder.

For information pertaining to general building use, contact the Operations Manager, Robert O'Brien, at x5311. Other campus departments that are housed within the library have their own policies related to their services. One should contact those departments for specific information. The Library is open to the public with directional information located in the front lobby area. Operating hours vary depending upon semester, holiday and summer schedules.
