iPad Guide

A guide to iPads and the library's iPad lending program.

iPad Introduction

iPads are tablet devices that are built by Apple Inc.  All iPads run iOS, which is a touch based operating system that runs on both iPads and iPhones.

The library's iPads currently run the latest version of iOS 8.

iPads come with a basic set of applications, called apps, including a web browser, basic word processor, and calendar.  Other apps can be acquired from Apple's App Store.

Library iPad Lending Program

The library is offering 8 iPad devices for Merrimack College students, faculty, and staff to borrow.

iPads are available on a first-come, first serve basis and loaned for 5 days.  iPads can be placed on hold.  iPads cannot be renewed.  iPad chargers are also checked out with the iPad.

iPads come pre-loaded with a variety of apps for research, entertainment, music, news, productivity, and Merrimack information.
