Provides information on performance rights for DVDs owned by McQuade Library.

Definitions for public performance rights are extracted in this guide for the following producer/distributors:

Icarus Films

RIGHTS: DVDs purchased from Icarus Films here at www.IcarusFilms.com are licensed with Public Performance Rights for non-commercial and educational exhibition when no admission fee is charged. DVDs are "Leased for the life of the media." All titles are available in the United States, most titles are available for Canada. Inquire about rights for other countries.

Merrimack has the above rights for: Sentence for Two.

We do not have performance rights for Icarus titles from Icarus Home Video or Sony Home Entertainment group.

Purchase of DVD includes public performance rights for classroom or library use by the acquiring institution for non-paying audiences only. If you charge admission or host an event open to the wider public then it you must pay a screening fee in addition to the purchase price. All videos/DVDs purchased from us have public screening rights factored into the price, which means that they may be viewed in audience settings (as long as no admission is charged)...

All purchased videos and DVDs are licensed for closed-circuit viewing within the institution that made the purchase. This licensing also includes satellite campus, and limited-access distance education broadcasting. In addition, all purchased videos and DVDs are licensed for classroom viewing and public screening where no admission is charged. This policy does not include “streaming” or “webcasting” MEF programs via an internet server (regardless if it’s password protected). For digital licensing information, click here.
