Use the NOBLE Catalog to find books, e-books, dvds, and streaming videos from McQuade, as well as the 26 other libraries in our consortium (NOBLE). If another library has something you want, request it through interlibrary loan (ILL) at no charge and pick it up at the Help Desk on the first floor when it arrives.
If you search the catalog or databases and find books or articles that you want that the library does not have access to, you can request them using interlibrary loan (ILL). It may take a day or several days for the materials to arrive, so please plan accordingly.
Use this ILL FORM to request books and articles. Library staff will contact you when the materials arrive and you can pick them up at the Circulation Help Desk (1st floor of McQuade) free of charge. If you requested an article, library staff will send it to you via e-mail.
This is a FREE service, so please take advantage of it while you're here at Merrimack!

A call number is like an address for an item in the library. Every book and DVD in the library is assigned a unique call number. After searching for a book in the catalog, be sure to note the location, call number and status of a book.
You may come across some electronic books (e-books) when searching the catalog. Many of these electronic books are part of packages or individual subscriptions that the Library subscribes to, and require authentication when using them off campus.
EBSCO books from EBSCOhost databases collected into one site plus select other titles.
Search and view online over 115,000 ebooks in all academic subject areas. Log in and sections or the whole book may be downloaded. EbookCentral/ebrary books are also found and linked in the online catalog.
